Long, gangly legs teetered upon unsound talons as the tiny black figure made its way around the deer's encampment. Though he had no idea what a deer was so why should he be afraid? His pools wandered over the strange creatures that were like him in some aspects, but different in others. Rogue's adolecent form hung within the shade of the deer's trees, attepmting to stay cool within the heat. That was until he saw it. That great big, beautiful, moss colored rock that look oh so cool to the touch. The colt's tongue licked dry, crusty lips. Thoughts of water and shade began to form within his mind's eye. Rogue's small black form could be seen making its way straight through the deer's camp in plain view toward that giant rock. Though a 20 ton tanker truck could have been barreling toward him and he wouldn't have noticed. All he cared about right then was the big gorgeous boulder.

Luna simply couldn't believe her huge, pool-imitating eyes. She thought she saw a teetering foal crossing The Camp, and she thought no one else seemed to notice, and she thought he was headed straight for Solark's rock, but she wasn't quite sure. Maybe she was losing her young mind. She noticed this questionable foal following a very straight route, as if diligently indulging a line laid out by a skein of thread. Lune stepped forward. She slowly padded up to the tiny creature, easily overtaking him with her long deer-strides. When the mini horse's strong, grassy scent wafted into her nostrils she knew this was not just a figment of her imagination. "Hello there." She churred gently. Never slatternly with her speech, Luna watched her words and tones carefully as an aspiring medicine deer. Who are you, little guy? Where do you come from?" Luna strode slowly to keep pace with the nameless foal. Other deer were beginning to star and she saw a couple inching froward. She knew others in the camp would not be quite as understanding as she.

The appy stopped and looked at her. His small, childish auds perked forward and a large, almost comical, grin ran across his features, happy to have found a friend. An adolecent voice came from his vocals, though no fear showed in his sweet pools, [glow=black,2,300]"Hi! I'm Rogue, and I'm from the same place as you..."[/glow] His ears then turned to the side, and his orbs went cross eyed for a moment, [glow=black,2,300]"Aren't I?"[/glow] His talons stopped their slow and unsure stride. His muzzle turned up to the deer wonder filling his presence as he thought about why she would ask that. [shadow=black,left,300]I have to be. I mean sheesh we look so much alike it would be impossible for us not to be...[/shadow] His little chasms of black looked at his rough, corse, ebon fur then to the deer's fair hide. He took in the difference of color and pattern. His head lowered slightly as he had figured out what she had ment, [glow=black,2,300]"I'm not from the same place as you am I?"[/glow] The colt's ears fell limp upon his crania, and his energetic form lost all of its spirit. His tiny syth kicked a pebble sheepishly and liquid began to fill his soft pools, but none spilled over. He gazed at the other deer around him, starting to wonder if he was welcome among them or not. It had been long since he had seen other life, and now he was to be rejected again.

"Of course not, silly. You're a horse, I'm a deer." Luna spoke quietly, quickly, and gently. She saw a fawn rushing excitedly up to Solark, and chatting in a rushed, vigorous manner, shooting critical looks their way. As if he didn't have eyes himself... Luna thought, a bit put off. The Camp was always writhing with gossip- a favorite treat of the hungry deer. Luna thought quickly. If Solark strayed over and found an intruding colt on his territory he would be quick to exile it, for fear of loosing respect from his Camp. While learning the herbs, remedies, and cures of the life of medicine deer, Luna had studied the mind with equal assiduity. More directly, the way other felt. She was quite raw in sympathy. "Look, I'm Luna. I am of The Deer of Sun Camp. You should be with the Horses of Rain Camp. I don't know why, or how you got here but.... (Solark approached, great antlers casting spidery shadows on Luna's back) but..." "Hello Luna I see you have a new friend who is this?" The words streamed out of his jaws in one great breath, tinged with frustration and suspicion. Solark swept his blitzing radar over the colt. Small, and lost. He looked to Luna. "Uh...." She struggled desperately with herself to find some speech that would put this newcomer in Solark's graces, but no such speech leaped to her tongue. Solark flicked his gaze back upon the miniature horse. "You have intruded the Camp of Deer, little one. Entering my knowledge with such a reputation, you forfeit your right to withhold certain information from my mind. Do you cling to the deer in your heart next to strained abhor, or sugary compassions? In short, friend or foe?" Luna mentally rolled her eyes as her brother finished his declaration. He's a foal, not a knowledgable elder. She though, exasperated. While usually adapt in situations of exigency, Solark could be a bit heavy when tending to the minds of the adolescent. "What is your name?" Luna offered simply, receiving a quizzical look from Solark. (((ooc: It's a longster )))

The colt's depression grew slightly as he heard his mistake. How could he have been so simple minded to think he was of their brotheren blood. He had only watched Luna for the time, and the few deer nearest him. Though now he could feel a massive shadow upon his hide. His pools gazed over to where the shadows owner stood towering slightly above him. He knew better then to pick a fight, and even if he had had the mind to all strength had left him. He had not understood a single word the large buck had expressed to him in what seemed a harsh tone to him. His bodice mentally quivered with fear, and his pools expanded in a near awe. Though he was soon brought back to earth by Luna's vocals ringing within his ears, [glow=black,2,300]"I'm Rogue...[/glow] His voice audible shook, and his legs trembled slightly as he dared to ask the question that ran ramped through his mind, [glow=black,2,300]"And... what's a... uh..."[/glow] He was almost unable to express himself. [glow=black,2,300]"...a...um...horse?"[/glow] His thin legs back away from the lord of this camp to ensure that they were in proper working order. In the case that he might need them to flee with his ever loving life entaked. Also to become out of rang of Solark's large rack that stood menacingly upon his head.

Solark and Luna tied their eyes together with a strong bit of twine latched with a knot. Luna's disks of eyes radiated pity, Solark's, utter bafflement. It was the mottled she-deer that spoke first, "Dear, excuse the pun, you are a horse. A little one, but a horse. We are deer. You are a horse. Why aren't you with your own kind." Solark interjected, as if he needed to slather this conversation with a bit of his authority. "Yes, why? You should be off gallivanting about with your own species- are your parents deceased?" Luna cast him a stony glance. Solark matched it to a tee. Solark shook his head slowly, twisting antlers moving like the limbs of the pines. "I'm just curious as to whether this little but of excitement will be a abdomidal thing; or perhaps you were counting on daily?" Solark intimated fiercely in Luna's ear. Luna could tell Solark felt the stifling pressure of having a sister in the camp. He had to prove that he did not grant kin-affected favors. This feeling could lean a little hard on Luna; she received the blunt of this worry.

The midnight painted colt thingyed his head to the side, studying the expression's upon both deer's features. To him it seemed that they had a rivalry going though neither could openly attack the other. BUt it was none of his buisness so he would ponder over the thought another day. His adolecent mind need not churn long over the question given by the higher ranked titan, [glow=black,2,300]"I do not gallavant with these 'horses'...[/glow] His mouth formed awkwardly as spoke the unfimiliar word. For as far and long as he had known he was of the same species as those that stood before him. [glow=black,2,300]"...Because I do not know any of my own species as you so kindly alieninated me."[/glow] A hurt could be told from within his soft vocals as he spoke longer, [glow=black,2,300]"And I have no parents, no givers of life and shelter."[/glow] His once kind pools now darted to the ground beside him. HIs heart ached with memories of watching others grow with love and teachers. All he had learned had been taught by nature's cruel hand, [glow=black,2,300]"I guess you could say I was abandoned as a pup..."[/glow] The appy had visited many groups in his short living time. His first run to find a home was of wolven ansestry, though he only bairly made it out of there with the fur on his back. Rogue had only been saved by the pup he had discovered and befriended. It was the first term he had learned when dealing with young. Though he later learned of cubs and kits, he always ackowledged himself as a pup. Deep pools of ebon space finally looked at the buck, then to the doe, unaware of the fued that had gone between preditor and prey since the years that have long been lost to memory. Innocence showed within him, but also a passionate soul that strove for acception and to please. That soul searched now through his past, and dwelled upon how if things had been different. Though it saddened him to now end, there was a pleasure found within it. A pleasure in those he had met, and what he had learned from those, but now was his biggest and most vital lesson before him; what he was.

"You're a foal, Rouge." Luna did not quite know how to proceed. She must handle the situation delicately, of course, to keep Solark from getting his Antlers tangled. But what to do with the gangly little foal full of adolescent passions? To cast him off would seemingly be to shovel him into the mouths of the wolves; though he apparently had been managing commendably up to this point his his life. Solark had an expressionless face at the present. Luna couldn't read it. Maybe he was pondering the situation, maybe the best attack angle at Wolves' Camp. "Solark?" She uttered, with forced amiability. Laying his dark eyes upon her, Solark revealed nothing. Luna let out a gust of breath in frustration, "We have no dearth of food, space or friends! He doesn't exactly pose much of a threat, Solark. Or maybe you're afraid he'll attack you? You have no legitimate reason as to why this outcast of society shouldn't at least stay with us the night; look! The sun's almost set. It's dark out there." "It's dark everywhere, Luna." Solark's voice now had an edge to it as he addressed his sister. "Mother always said you were full of useless passions, Luna, and I see that to this waking day you have not grown out of their childish repose. Now I may be your brother when we are taking a walk through the forest, or when Mother died, or when I must save you for the countless time, but under the thick canopy of trees in this Camp, I am your Leader." His voice was quiet but fast, and his last sentence was uttered in dangerous staccato. Luna looked away, scowling. "But you mistake me for a tyrant. Would I send a trembling foal into the salivating jaws of night? Contrary to you belief, I wouldn't. He stays, for the night. Tomorrow his fate will be reckoned." Solark cast his fierce glance upon Rouge, and stared at his face for a few seconds, before he turned, "He's your responsibility, Luna" And strode across the camp. Luna looked thoroughly put out at this point. "Don't mind him" She muttered, rather embarrassed. (((ooc: ANOTHER logster And you're talking to the QUEEN or rambling right here )))

Rouge watched the buck carefully. Why he was not trusting of him, he did not know. Though he made a mental note to stay as far away from the male as deerly possible. His young chocolaty pools turned from the harsh buck and back to the kindly doe. As he stode watching her that tohught he had formed within his mind bubbled forth and out of his mouth, [glow=red,2,300]"So he's your brother?"[/glow] His mouth turned back as though hot acid had been poured upon his fragile figure, [glow=black,2,300]"I've heard of tough love, but he seems to be more then a little harsh with you...[/glow] The words of an adolecents mind spwed forth from his vocals and no shame befell him for his young mind knew not of wrong. [glow=black,2,300]"Its seems like he's not quite the ladies man either with his harsh voice, large confusing words, and quick temper.[/glow] Ebon shoulder's shrugged as he looked back and studied the buck for all of his defaults and perfections. His mouth had satisfied his mind for the present though the fued between siblings was not going to be lost for long for his mind could not stay still and had to constantly churn some bit of useless information into something that would help him along his journey. [glow=black,2,300]But who am I to speak of your affairs with those kin to you.[/glow] Those wonderous muddy orbs floated aorund the camp, studying the life that seemed to thrive within it.

Luna smiled faintly. If it hadn't been for the heavy weight that rested on her back after her recent quarrel, she would have laughed and rolled her eyes. "Yes, my brother blood for blood." Her voice was vacant and passionless. She felt drained as the clouds crept about the dark grasses and blocked the moon. Luna cringed inside for its loss; she was named after said moon, and longed for its gentle pool-illuminating glance. She turned back to Rogue. "Tired?" She figured he must be. He was still a little thing, and who knows where he had come from? Luna's own ostensible fatigue would not be quelled by sleep.

The colt nodded toward the statement about her brother then uselessly tried to compress a yawn that had been building within him since he had first entered the moonless camp, [glow=black,2,300]"Not really."[/glow] His vocals betrayed him with another yawn and his eyes began to blink hurredly, in a futile attempt to keep them open. A helpless smile plastured itself across his goofy features as he spoke his mind once more, [glow=black,2,300]"I guess the body betrays what you mind does not whish to confess..."[/glow] A gangly legs lifted from the gorund as he attempted to wake his tired bodice from the sleep that had began to envelop him. Auds turned to the side of his head and eye lids drooped dangerously across his pools. Threatening to put him into a tireless slumber where he stood.

"Yes, is suppose it does." Luna murmured, the deeper meaning of the colt's words striking her head on. But she didn't feel like being reflective this night, and she saw the foal swaying precariously in exhaustion. Luna figured stationing him with the other deer would be a stretch, so she scanned The Camp until a shady bit of terrain directly under a sprawling oak tree came into her line of vision. "Over here" She spoke, striding forward. "I'll sleep here with you tonight. Tomorrow we'll decide what, exactly, to do with you" She spoke gently, but in a warning tone, not wanting the foal to get used to Deer Camp (((ooc: This posts lacks any creativity)))

His crania nodded as he followed her, understanding what she had ment. Young visuals looked to where the other deer had beded down and knew why he must sleep apart from them. He then turned back and watched Luna's stride, attempting to match the appearence but nearly tripping in the process. His face burned brightly with embarasement as he heard a few fawns laughing at him from across the camp. His pace quickened as he attempted to hide beside Luna.

Luna observed the colt spectacle from the corder of her round eyes. She had never been in this close proximity to a foal. They certainly are a lot more awkward than our fawns! Luna thought with a smile. It had always puzzled Luna as to why horses had a straight line of long hair growing down their necks, a tuft of a tail on their rears. She shook her head. Some mysteries were never to be solved. "This looks comfortable enough." Luna decided to set and example, fold her legs underneath her and lie on the ground. "Why don't you tell me about yourself, Rogue." Luna was quite intrigued by this Rogue from no where. Where did he come from? Why doesn't he know his own species?

Rogue's legs folded easily enough as he lay down near Luna. He auds thingyed to the side and he stared at her, [glow=red,2,300]"Well, other then my name is Rogue there's not much to tell. I met lots of 'animals'[/glow] The word sounded awkward as it slid off of his tongue, [glow=black,2,300]"Crows, Cats, Wolves, Otters, Foxes, and a few Badgers, but never try to room with one. They snor and bite in their sleep."[/glow] His vocals chuckled as he thought about Amevir and Rolton, and the night he attempted to stay in their badger's den, [glow=black,2,300]"Didn't help that the place was a little more then cramped for a 'colt'."[/glow] His pools went cross eyed as he said colt. It was different from most words he was used to, and did't quite like the difference.
