Tale listened to every word, looking towards where Marbreak spoke of. It seemed like the cats and horses recieved the more peaceful part of the territory, the brown cat imagining the fear the deer must live in. Cats were a bit too small to be preying on horses, and horses were the most peaceful, with a tendency to have troubles within themselves rather than the other speices. "I am new to This Side," Tale said softly, looking to the sky above and stepping into a patch of weak sun. It tinted her pelt a brillant deep crimson before fading as she kept pace with the quick and tireless Marbreak. She certainly seemed kind enough, and was without the wary suspision that most cats had with new comers. "What do you know of the other species' leaders?" She questioned boldly, assuming each had a leader like the cats had Whitefire.

Marbreak smiled, "Lovely! All the more I get to teach you." The black feline sniffed at the ground, rich, raven nose brushing the gritty dirt before rising again. "The other Leaders? Well, let's see... what's to tell... Solark's the Leader of the Deer. You don't see much of him, though. He's got his own thing going on over in Deer Camp. Everyone knows he hates the wolves, and won't move his camp for anything. Blackhoof- we see her a lot round hear. Rumor has it that she and Whitefire used to be great friends, inseparable, before they became Leaders. Anyways, she pops in every now and then, and both Whitefire and she always part in distress." Marbreak passed a look of wonderment and concern over her ashy face before continuing, "And no one here knows much about Plato. That information belongs to Wihtefire alone. The wolves don't come here." Brilliant strands of color pierced the sky and awoke the birds as they began their morning chorus. Marbreak parted her jaws, devouring the scents laid out before them.

Green eyes watched Marbreak curiously as she took in the morning scents, her words what Tale predicted them to be. A short description of each leader, with much known about Blackhoof and none about the mysterious figure Plato. Perhaps it was best that the cats were so distant from the other predetors. The keen social skills and convincing words of cats paired with the brute strength and fierocity of wolves would not make the deer and horses well off.
She wondered of Whitefire had ever thought of the possibilites of pairing up, but within a moment she realized he must've, and not found the outcomes favourable for the clan. She blinked a few times as Marbreak opened her mouth to the sun, turning away to look about the area they were in. Satin-like nose took the in the scents, the smell of prey sharp. Her whiskers twitched as she faced the black cat at her side, a sudden hunger forming.
"Are there designated hunting areas?" she questioned, tail twitching too.

Marbreak shook her black head. "No. You know what they say... all's fair in love and war.. well, I don't know about all out war, but we are certainly not in the midst of a time of peace" Marbreak's clear, yellow-green eyes gleamed in the radiant dawn. "We hunt in the forest, for the most part. But when prey's scarce, hunting parties will venture out to The lake and try for fish, or frisk the meadow of mice." Marbreak's steps were springy and her fur breathed quietly on her body. She stopped, leaned back on her haunches, and sat. Let's see A black snake-like tail snuck around her paws. "Well, let's get started! Tale, how would you go about attacking a horse, were the situation to arise."

Tale thought that Marbreak's explanation of where the food was a lead up to a hunt. But she obviously thought wrong. Her brown body had made it a few paces before she stopped to look over her shoulder at the black cat. Large green eyes watched as the tail slid infront of Marbreak's paws. Conversation time, Tale thought dully, turning around to face her mentor with a blank gaze. Ears twitched back as the cat explained an imaginary situation, thoughts racing to the grab the different ideas.
"There's a variety of ways to do this, depending on the surroundings," Tale started of quietly, eyes looking to the forest around her, "In a place like this, it would be fairly easy. Climb up the nearest tree that seems to be in the horse's obvious path, or just choose a tree at random and beckon the horse with taunts or so on. Either way, when the horse is close enough, leap from the tree to land on it's head but position yourself carefully as to avoid the teeth."
"The horse will probably try tricks, but it will only be damage to itself. Tossing us around would mean a claw to the eye, slamming their heads on a tree may not always work to get us off, and their heads will hurt awfully after contact with the tree. Rolling in a way that the head touches the ground may cause neck problems to the horse later."
Tale paused, curling her own tail around herself and now looking thoughtful,
"If we are focused on taking down the horse, the smartest but cruelest way to do that in this position would to be to claw out the horse's eyes."
She ended solomnly, thoughts thinking of a different surrounding now but waiting for Marbreak to reply to this plan.

Marbreak curled her black tail around her coiled haunches, golden eyes slightly disturbed by Tale's response. She had indited the strategy perfectly. It was this precision, and the suggesting of gouging that had unsettled Marbreak. "Yes.. yes, that's perfectly right. From the trees. But.. we never go for the eyes." Marbreak hesitated, unsure. Perhaps it was the motherly nature showing in Marbreak, but she showed a bit more tact in the heat of battle than most of the other cats. Many would rip out a creature's eyes in a second flat, but something absolutely chilled Marbreak about the thought of living unseeing. Living in a tomb of darkness and uncertainty. She curled her tail a little tighter. "No. Not the eyes. Even in battle there are standards. The ones we fight... have a home to return to. In such a situation, I would make all physical efforts to go for the neck, and end the beast's life as quickly as possible, thus finishing the deed." There was a paled color in Marbreak's eyes. Certain returning unsavory memories had bleached them so.
